UK Closure Update September 2019

Mobilebet (and sister brand ComeOn) have closed to the UK for ‘strategic business reasons’, as of the 23rd September Mobilebet will no longer accept UK players. Existing customers can continue to play and deposit until the 27th September at which point activity will be ceased and accounts closed.

Users have until the 29th September 2019 to withdraw funds, after this date you will need to contact customer support (support-gb@mobilebet.com) to withdraw.

Customers from outside the UK can still join Mobilebet if you are in an unrestricted territory.

MobileBet give us a strong clue as to who they are and what they are about in their name, don’t they? It’s true that they set themselves up as a bookie aimed at mobile bettors, but they also have a desktop website so no one is left out.

The sportsbook and casino/live casino are both accomplished in their own right, but together they provide more than what the average punter would be looking for. Sports markets are vast and have adequate depth, and the casino games number more than 600.

They provide odds that keep them in the game rather than winning it, but the loyalty package is excellent. This is a company who will most likely be attractive to someone looking for a long term betting platform rather than someone who is only signing up to snag a few offers.

Key Markets

Mobilebet Key Markets

The range of sports you can bet on at MobileBet numbers around 35 most of the time and depending on the season, of course. Those that are the busiest markets are:

  • Football
  • Tennis
  • American Football
  • Horse Racing
  • eSports

Football: There is activity in almost 150 football leagues from around the world on this site; Finland, Japan, Korea, everywhere. You can expect around 120+ markets for a typical Premier League fixture, but this drops to 10+ for games far away, like Bolivia, for example.

Tennis: More than 70 competitions make up the list and you can expect between 5 and 35+ markets depending on the strength of the fixture.

American Football: There might be 250-300 different fixtures to bet on, but you will be limited to just a handful of betting markets for each game. Winner, spread, and O/U most commonly.

Horse Racing: UK and Irish races get full coverage but you will only find one or two major international meetings to bet on.

eSports: Busy on a daily basis across a number of different games. Betting limited to overall winner and individual map winners. If you find more than 5 betting markets you will be doing well.

Casino

Mobilebet Casino

The casino is bursting with games quite frankly, and the developers behind those games are names you will certainly recognise; Microgaming, NYX, Play’N GO, NetEnt, Quickspin, Red Tiger, etc.

It’s useful that players can ‘favourite’ the games they play a lot because it would be a chore to have to search them out each time, although there is a search bar if you are looking for one game in particular.

Here are 5 that go down well with the gaming community and that are available at MobileBet:

Title Developer Theme
Dead or Alive 2 NetEnt Wild West
Immortal Romance Microgaming Vampires/Love Story
Gonzo’s Quest NetEnt Adventure
Vikings Go Berzerk Yggdrasil Vikings
Book of Dead Play’N GO Adventure

The live casino comes courtesy of Evolution Gaming, so even though only 25 or so games are listed on the website you get full access to their game suite once in the lobby.

You can expect 40 different blackjack tables of differing table limits and variations, lots of roulette, poker, baccarat, and even game show type games.

Extra’s

Mobilebet Shop

The loyalty scheme works across the sportsbook and the casino so you can benefit from using both. It’s one of the better reward schemes because you get points not just for depositing and betting/playing, but also for logging in each day, confirming your phone number and e-mail, your first withdrawal.

The shop is full of free bets, free spins and other bonuses to buy with your points, so you are spreading your money further by joining in.

The promotions area can be hit and miss; sometimes it looks pretty good and other times it is almost empty. Promo’s change all the time but MobileBet have been known to offer double points at certain times or for certain casino games, offer price boosts on certain sports bets, and also free bets. It is all designed to reward regular customers rather than grab the attention of new customers, although there is a welcome offer too.

MobileBet are also fans of using social media for offers, so you should follow them on Twitter if you do sign up.

Area’s For Improvement

Mobilebet Support24/7 support would be a good place to start, or at least past 8pm. A lot of casino players especially like to play after work, so if anything goes wrong in the evening they have to wait 24 hours to deal with it.

The app could do with a bit of fine tuning to make it load faster, especially since they are called MobileBet.

There are still some fees for using certain payment methods, even when depositing. MobileBet are behind most of the rest of the industry here – some websites don’t charge any fees for depositing or withdrawing, so they should try to scrap this asap.

Live streaming is always welcome, so even if they only added it to horse racing for example, it would make a big difference.

Company Info

Mobilebet LogoMobilebet are part of the Co-Gaming group, the same company that runs another one of our favourite betting sites, ComeOn. Mobilebet was launched in 2014 and while they haven’t been around for all that long they have already built a fantastic reputation with both punters and the industry.

The fully UK licenced sportsbook and casino is based in Malta, but originated in Sweden and you could say it has a European flavour to it.

On the whole, everything about Mobilebet is designed for ease of use for the user. The site is exceptionally simple to navigate and is not too heavy on the graphics. As the name would suggest the mobile site and app are key to the company’s approach, designed to be as useful to the customer out of doors as possible.

The whole ethos of Co-Gaming is about providing clarity and rewards. There really is no small print with these guys, every offer and term is clearly spelled out with nothing hidden in the small print. I wish I could say the same for other operators but few are as honest as this company.

Customer retention is very high at Mobilebet owing to their attitude and a great loyalty scheme.
