BETDAQ Review – £25 in Free Bets OR 50% commission
BETDAQ are a sports betting exchange and one of the leading players in the sports exchange market alongside Betfair. Owned by Ladbrokes since 2013, you can still sign up for a new account and get the welcome offer with BETDAQ even if you already have a Ladbrokes account.
With £75-100M in bets taken every week these guys are pretty damn big and the biggest rival to Betfair. As a stand alone exchange it dispenses with all of the other features other sites have to give you a clean and professional interface.
Welcome Offer 1 – £25 in Free Bets
This bookie are offering two sign up offers to pick from depending on how you would like to bet. The first offer is a £25 in free bets. Sign up using promotional code FB2515. As soon as you’ve earned 4 commission points you will get a £25 Free Bet. One commission point is earned for every £25 won or lost on settled exchange markets. To receive the full £25 in free token you will need cumulative wins or losses totalling £100. You have 6 months to earn the points required for the welcome deal.
Free bet awarded within 72 hours once you have met the requirements either through backing or laying on the exchange. The free bonus will be valid for 14 days and must be wagered at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or greater and stakes are not returned.
Welcome Offer 2 – 50% Commission
The other sign up bonus you could choose gives 50% of your commission back for the first 3 months. Enter the code BDQHALF when you sign up. The minimum commission refund is £10, so you will have to pay £20 in commission in the first 90 days to qualify. The maximum is an astonishing £1000, if you plan on placing some big spread bets in the first 3 months then you could earn a massive bonus.
If you like exchange betting then you should certainly give BETDAQ a go. These guys are particularly “serious about horses” and you can get some great prices on here for racing particularly. Commission at basic rate is 5% but this can be tiered as low as 2% depending on the number of commission points you earn. For a limited time pay just 2% commission for offers on the exchange.
BETDAQ have a range of sports markets available to bet on, the website is clear and really easy to use and there are plenty of news, expert reviews and tips features to keep you interested. For those interested in customising their exchange the Trading tools are particularly useful.
Betting exchanges don’t tend to have too many offers. The nature of exchange betting means the bookie is the middle man simply connecting people who want to back a bet at certain odds with those that want to lay that bet at those odds. The mismatch in odds between the back and the lay represents the commission taken by the bookmaker. BETDAQ themselves therefore do not control the odds like a typical fixed odds book does so it is hard for them to offer enhanced odds and money back promotions.
Having said that BETDAQ do give promotions where they can, specifically on commission rates. Some common commission and other offers are shown below.
- Free Race Entry – Often BETDAQ will give free entry to customers for sponsored races, simply email them in advance and places are awarded on a first come first served basis.
- Virtuals Free Bet – Place a £10 bet on virtual sports markets at odds of evens (2.0) or greater and get a £10 free bet for use on virtual markets.
- 50% and 0% commission offers – Throughout the year BETDAQ will periodically give 50% or even 0% commission on certain markets, sports and events, especially horse racing events such as Cheltenham.
Founded in 2000 by an Irish entrepreneur, Dermot Desmond, with trading starting in 2001. In 2013 the group, based in Dublin and employing over 200 people, were sold to Ladbrokes for €30 million.
The BETDAQ exchange handles over £75 million of bets each and every week becoming the UK’s second largest sports betting exchange. You will have seen BETDAQ around through their sponsorship activities, including previously sponsoring Kempton Park racecourse, Celtic FC and London Irish Rugby Club.
It is rare to find a decent offer from a betting exchange so if you like exchange betting or if you simply want to try it out and see I recommend you take the BETDAQ offer. Betfair certainly have a larger and more in depth exchange but do not compete on offers.Claim Offer
